The memories are too fresh…

Back again! This is from a recent episode. Show once again gave us a glimpse of Deniz missing Roman in amidst the pod people. I guess they’re trying to appease the fans with these little glimpses of the old Deniz, the one who loved Roman with all his heart and is still grieving for his lost love. Bah hum bug, too little too late. Am I growing cold? Hard not to with what Show has become. Instead I’ll just relive the glory days through these images. I hope everyone enjoys seeing them as much as I enjoy making them.

Episode 1363

The main clip is from Episode 1363. Ingo dropped by No. 7 to talk to Deniz about Katja’s qualifications run. He made an excuse about having to work, but truth is he just couldn’t go back to the Centre. (This is what I’m talking about, people. Deniz’ old friends would have understood that Deniz might feel a bit squeamish about returning to the place where he watched the love of his life die. And they would have understood this without him having to spell it out.) Anyway, this image shows Deniz sitting on a bench outside of the Centre thinking about their last days together and how happy they were. This was a touching scene until Sarah showed up and sucked the life out of it.

Episode 1268

The layered clip is from Episode 1268. Right after Roman died, Deniz held him in his arms the whole night. This clip is right after Isabelle finds them before she gets Deniz’ attention.

As promised, second edition of the iceskating bunny. This one was almost three months after the first and bunny was much improved. He looks quite a bit happier with his performance here. Those who watched EKP’s backstage videos will remember that there was a behind the scenes clip of the filming of this scene.

The main clip is from Episode 189. This was the tail end of Roman’s performance. I just love his pose and how his hands are reaching towards the strobe – like he’s reaching for the stars.

The layered clip on the left is also from Episode 189. I’ve always loved this image. Roman looks wonderful here. I had a cap of this already, but the quality was too poor. This took forever to be able to capture, but it was worth it. :)

Yay! I’m back…yet again. The birthday celebration was a blast and definitely helped kick off a new round of inspiration, so I hope it’ll keep flowing for a while yet. I’ve always wanted to do more skating montages. Unfortunately, the movement definitely makes it difficult to get good screen caps, so they don’t always turn out. I figured with Show trying to forget Roman, he needed some more dedications, so I did an early bunny montage. As you can see by the episode number below, this was quiet a while before he met our favorite puppy

The main clip is from Episode 106. After Roman finishes his skate, he looks up from his pose. You can see the disappointment in his eyes from the spill he took.

The layered clip on the left is also from Episode 106. This is the start of his routine. You can see the judges panel over his shoulder. Bunny does look amazing here. This is one of my favorite caps from the scene.

Will It Ever Stop Hurting?

I made breakfast without crying…

And the last gift for the birthday celebration, more angst!!! This was, once again, after the DeRoAA and EKP era. However, it was the first Roman!Flashback in a while, so I wanted to include it. The quote was kind of a rewritten version of the conversation Deniz had with Ingo in 1299. The beginning through the bar comment were taken from that episode, the rest was my rewritten version. I definitely like the fact that Deniz was still remembering Roman here. He hadn’t been dead for that long, so it made sense that Deniz was still mourning, but I wasn’t really expecting Show to give us anything given their history. I’m glad that they at least paid a little homage to our favorite couple.

Episode 1335

The main clip is from Episode 1335. As Deniz and Sarah talk about their non Christmas plans, Roman sees a couple kissing in the street and flashes back to him and Roman kissing. Awwww, I so miss these two. There will never be another couple quite like them.

The layered clip is from Episode 773 although it was showed in Episode 1335 with the flashback. Deniz and Roman have just gotten back together for DeRo 2.0 and they’re being lovey dovey outside of the Centre the next day.

And another angsty piece in the birthday celebration. Now we actually have a piece from the WTF era. Such a gut wrenching scene and the desperate almost love scene. Of course, let’s not mention the horrific conversation afterwards in which Roman actually had the gall to say they were growing apart.

The main clip on the right is from Episode 1186. They’re in the middle of their long, drawn out breakup, but Roman doesn’t want to let Deniz go so he pulls him back.

The other main clip on the left is also from Episode 1186. After Roman pulls him back, Deniz kneels in front of him afraid to hope that maybe Roman will give him yet another chance.

The layered clip is once again from Episode 1186. They try to make another go of it, bandaging their problems with sex. Unfortunately, from the moment they lie down (even before), you can see how uncomfortable Roman is and it doesn’t take long for him to decide that this isn’t working. Here, he tells Deniz that it’s over.  :(

I won’t betray you…Never again.

And now, on to the sad stuff. But come on, Deniz looks delicious here even if he is all angsty….especially because he is angsty. I do so love his trip to the grave site and the little glimpses we get that show that he hasn’t forgotten Roman. This scene was lovely if we leave out the stupid bit about feelings for PB&J.

Episode 1345

The main clip is from Episode 1345. Deniz is beginning to have feelings for a certain piece of wood and after a particularly troubling dream, he visits Roman’s gravesite. He promises never to betray Roman again. He’s feeling very guilty over these feelings because one, it’s only been three months since his death and he still misses Roman and two, his last betrayal with Roman was a woman, so falling for another one is (to him) like another stab in the back. I think Deniz is having more trouble excepting his bisexuality than he ever had accepting his homosexuality.

The layered clip is from Episode 949. I loved the forehead touch and the way that Deniz touches Roman’s face, so I thought this image with it’s love and angst was the perfect choices for this piece. In it’s original context this is when Deniz sees Roman crying after his return from New York and he thinks he’s still upset about his father, so he promises that he won’t let him down again and will always be there for him. Oh, Deniz, such the perfect boyfriend during this period.

Happy Birthday, DeRoAA!!! I can’t believe it’s been a year already. It’s been a long, fun and angsty road, filled with tears and laughter, but always brighter because we were in it together. I don’t know what I would have done without you guys. You have brightened my days considerably. This is the first of my birthday gifts, posted now just after midnight. It’s been just over a month since my last post and I thought this would be a great way to get back into the swing of things. I wanted my first post to be birthday related, so I thought Roman’s disastrous 30th surprise party would be a great theme to go with. Hopefully our birthday with go more smoothly. :)
